Metro-North Harmon Yard – Office of System Safety Facility
The objective of this project was to solicit for Engineering, Design, and Construction Phase Services for a new Office of System Safety Department (OSSD) building to house the Harmon Yard Fire Brigade and Safety department. These offices were located in Buildings #6 and #14 in Metro-North’s (MNR) Harmon Yard. This facility is located near the entrance to the Harmon Yard to provide maximum support to all facilities in the yard. The scope was limited to providing Metro-North Railroad with a workable existing site and utility plan at the proposed building location as well as a brief description of the civil, geotechnical, and structural design requirements related to the new facility.

Garg Consulting Services, Inc. (Garg) provided the redesign of the Metro-North Office of System Safety Facility at Harmon Yard.
